Preliminary task

Me and Alex filmed and editied our preliminary task. The preliminary task include dialogue, match on action, shot reverse shot and some editing. We used shot reverse shot when me and Alex were speaking, this allowed us to film as there was only two of us and we could not film the whole scene at once. Shot reverse shot and match on action are examples of continuity editing. Match on action was used when I was walking through the door. Match on action speeds up the clip and makes it more easy for the audience to understand what is happening.
To get the preliminary task as good as possible we had to do a huge number shots. This allowed us to have a higher chance of getting what we wanted as we would have a number of shots to choose from.
We edited our shots on adobe. On adobe we used the 'fade to black' transition. This has the same sort of effect as match on action. The transition made the clip seem more natural which allowed the audience to understand the scene. The effect of the transition was that it gave the clip continuity.

If we did this again we would need to spend more time on editing the clip. Also we could work on the length of each shot as this would make it seem more natural. So overall there is alot of things we need to improve, but there is also things we done quite well.
