James Bond - Quantum of solace opening (HD!)

From the opening scene we can see that this film is an aaction film. This shows many conventions of an action film. There is many stunts, car chases and fast paced editing. There is many close ups of james bond, this shows us that he is the main character. Also there is a long shot of the exotic location. This would intrigue the audience as it would give them a sence of escapism.

 There is a luxury black car being driven by James Bond this would link with him being a secret agent. The fast paced editing would keep the audience on the edge of their seat. The music creates mystery as it gives us a feeling that it is building up to something. Also we feel that the main character is on a mission, which is a convention of an action film also this would connote that he is a secret agent. The stunts would suggest that there is some danger, this would keep the audience intrigued as they will want to see things that entertain them.

James Bond is wearing a very smart black suit which would suggest that he is a secret agent, which creates a sence of mystery. Also there is a lot of gun shots which is a convention of an acton film. Eventhough James Bonds life is at risk as he is being shot at and he is in a high speed car chase his face always looks calm, this would suggest he knows what he is doing which would relate t him being a secret agent.
